The Messy Church Community had a great time catching up at Possum Hollow Park on 19 October, and enjoying God’s creation at Warringal Parklands, the nearby bushland reserve.
Along the way we left our worries on paperbark, our thanks on gum leaves and our ‘sorries’ in the Yarra River, knowing that no matter our worries, thanks or sorries, nothing in the whole world can change God’s love for us.
If you missed out on Messy Church and would like to head down and do the walk yourself or with your family, we’ve created an easy guide so you can follow the path we took. Or, head down to the park and make your own path! You can download the guide here.
Big thanks to Cathie for her beautiful ideas for our prayer walk and to everyone for coming.

Join us for our annual discussion of all things about death:
How do you organise a funeral?
Try a coffin on for size!
What happens if you go into hospital and you don’t want treatment?
The Cafe of Dangerous Ideas is here for you to ask all the questions – so come along on Friday the 31 October (Halloween) at 7.30pm and talk death with us.
No bookings necessary – just turn up.

The Heidelberg Traders Association is having its annual Halloween Scavenger Hunt on Burgundy Street at 4:30pm on Thursday 30 October and our Heidelberg Scots Church is going to be open as a chill-out zone from 4pm for the whole community.
We’ll have free tea and coffee, face painting, a BBQ, and The Sycamore Tree Cafe will be open for (real!) coffee.
From 5:30pm we’ll be showing the fab movie Coco about the Mexican Day of the Dead, free for the whole community with free popcorn.
Come on down to Heidelberg for the scavenger hunt then pop by and see us for a snag and a movie!

Messy Church is on again this October, this time for a park meet up.
We’ll provide some food for an easy picnic dinner.
Bring yourselves, ready to reconnect and have a play, and wear your walking shoes as we’ll head out to explore the bushland and to find God’s amazing creatures who live there.
All are welcome.
