SPACE Contemplative Community
The SPACE Contemplative Community offers an inclusive exploration of Christian spirituality through ritual, reflection, meditation and community.
Each service follows a basic format with lots of time for personal reflection and prayer based around a reading or theme, as well as time to reflect together as a community and to pray together for the world. We regularly celebrate Eucharist together as well.
Service styles include:
- Taizé SPACE: A contemplative time of singing, sacred readings, silence and prayers for the world, held on the first Thursday of each month.
- Christian Meditation SPACE: A service of Evening Prayer with readings, silence and prayers for the world.
We usually meet at 8pm on Thursdays at Heidelberg Scots Uniting Church, 187 Burgundy Street, Heidelberg with an online option available as well. (Note: during the colder months, we are holding all services online – except for the Taizé services on the first Thursday of the month. Check the online Worship Timetable for details.)
The online service is available on this webpage, with prayers on WhatsApp and Messenger.
