SPACE Contemplative Worship Community

Thursday 22 September 2022

The monthly SPACE Community Christian Meditation service, curated by Kristen Barnett.

Thursday 15 September 2022

This SPACE service picked up some of the themes of “Storm Sunday”, the 3rd week of the Season of Creation.

The service reflected on the character of “Sophia”, or Woman Wisdom, as she is described in Job 28 and on the Wind, breath or “Chi” of God as we practiced Breath Prayer.

Thursday 8 September 2022

This SPACE Service is based on the readings for the Seasons of Creation, and explores the question of how God calls us to care for our planet.

The Seasons of Creation are being celebrated internationally in September and in a number of places around the Banyule Network.

Join Rev Sandy Brodine and the SPACE Contemplative Community for a contemplative reflection on this week’s passage from Luke, where the disciples ask Jesus to: “Teach us how to pray.”

The service features musical and spoken versions of the Lord’s prayer in different languages, and in the English language from it’s oldest form up to contemporary English. Join us as we reflect on the nature of prayer, and the nature of the God who calls us into relationship.
